A Message from The Head
Children do not develop along a linear path. Some find confidence early; others need time. Some discover who they are through academic success, while others flourish on a stage, a sports field or through experiences no examination could ever measure. Great schools do not shape children into one idea of success; they help every child discover their own.
That belief sits at the heart of St Margaret’s.
We are a co-educational community where relationships matter, individuality is celebrated and children are encouraged to contribute to the life of the school, not simply pass through it. They are known here, challenged here and supported to become the very best version of themselves.
Academic success matters because it opens doors, but character matters because it shapes what young people do once those doors are open. We want our students to leave with excellent qualifications, quiet confidence, intellectual curiosity and the courage to make a positive contribution wherever life takes them.
As an all-through school, we have the privilege of time: time to know our children well, recognise strengths they may not yet see in themselves, and support them as confidence grows into independence.
I hope you will come and visit us. Schools are about people far more than buildings or brochures, and there is no substitute for experiencing our community for yourself.
